Actinomycosis primary prevention

Overview

Effective measures for the primary prevention of actinomycosis include regular dental checkups and maintaining good oral hygiene. In woman with IUD, regular pelvic examination is advised.^[1]

Thoracic and abdominal actinomycosis	Prevention of aspiration in high-risk individuals by providing proper attention towards airway protection, minimal sedation, and proper positioning of patients with elevation of the head in hospitalized patients
