A CT of the adrenal glands can be used to check for structural abnormalities of the adrenal glands.

A CT of the adrenal glands can be used to check for structural abnormalities of the adrenal glands. A normal adrenal gland has a cumulative thickness of the body and the limbs of 15.6 ± 3.7 mm and 18.4 ± 3.8 mm on the right and left sides, respectively.

The bilateral atrophy of the adrenal gland is shown in the following figure:[1]
