Akinetic-rigid syndromes

Overview

A syndrome characterized by cluster of akinesia, slowness in initiation of movement; rigidity, abnormal stiffness. It can be associated with slow movement, early fatiguing and postural instability.

    • Multiple systemic atrophy
    • Progressive supra nuclear palsy
  • Asymmetrical neurodegenarative disorder
    • Parkinson’s disease
    • Corticobasal ganglionic degenaration
