B-cell prolymphocytic leukemia laboratory findings

Laboratory findings consistent with the diagnosis of B-cell prolymphocytic leukemia include anemia, lymphocytosis, abnormal blood chemistry studies, and abnormal blood peripheral smear.

• Complete blood count is remarkable for the following abnormalities:
  • Anemia
  • Marked lymphocytosis
  • A monotonous population of prolymphocytes in the peripheral blood and bone marrow

• Abnormal blood chemistry studies

• Abnormal blood peripheral smear
