Bleeding (Excessive)

Overview

Bleeding occurring spontaneously without injury, or bleeding that does not stop (with direct pressure) is abnormal.

Classification

    • Postsurgical bleeding

    • Menorrhagia

  • Complete physical examination including rectal exam and joint exam (hemarthrosis)
