Laboratory findings consistent with the diagnosis of blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome include:

• Complete Blood Count:
  • CBC helps to confirm and determine the severity of anemia.
• Fecal occult blood test:
  • FOBT helps in screening of the blood loss and confirms the involvement of gastrointestinal tract from the venous malformations.
• Urinalysis
  • Urinalysis helps in detection of blood in the urine and involvement of bladder.
