Overview
The diagnosis of cataract is established through slit-lamp biomicroscopy following pupillary dilation, allowing direct visualization of lens opacification and classification of cataract type.[1]
Visual acuity testing is used to quantify impairment, including under simulated glare conditions when indicated.[1]
