Chondrosarcoma medical therapy

Overview

Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are indicated for chondrosarcoma as adjuvant therapy or palliative treatment in surgically inaccessible areas. Surgery is the mainstay of treatment for chondrosarcoma.

Chemotherapy or traditional radiotherapy are not very effective for most chondrosarcomas.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]
Wide spread metastasis is usually an indication for systemic radiotherapy or chemotherapy.
It is also indicated as a palliative treatment in surgically inaccessible areas.
Surgery is the mainstay of treatment for chondrosarcoma.
