Renal artery vascular procedures

Renal artery bypassing and stenting of atherosclerotic disease have been proposed, studied, and eventual found to be not beneficial except in unusual circumstances.^[1]

Renal artery denervation

Renal denervation for resistant hypertension also has been found not to be beneficial.^[2]

Central arteriovenous anastomosis

More recently central arteriovenous anastomosis has been studied and shows benefit in one trial.^[3]
