Confusion echocardiography or ultrasound

Overview

An echocardiogram is a valuable tool in assessing the cardiac output. It also helps in determining the perfusion. An ultrasound is used for determining the cause of confusion in certain abdominal conditions such as any liver injuries, abdominal bleeds, and injuries to the major abdominal vessels.

Echocardiogram or Ultrasound

  • Echo helps in determining the cardiac output reflecting the perfusion status. It is useful in condition’s where cardiogenic shock is the cause of confusion in the patient.
  • An abdominal ultrasound is used for evaluating various intra abdominal patholgies such as abscesses, cirrhosis, fluid accumulation, bleeds.
