Coronary artery bypass surgery CABG in left ventricular dysfunction
Editor-In-Chief: C. Michael Gibson, M.S., M.D. [1]
Overview
CABG in left ventricular dysfunction
It has not been clearly established whether CABG palys a significant role in treatment of heart failure. In the STICH trial of 1212 patients each with ejection fraction < 35 % and coronary artery disease requiring CABG, there was no statistically significant difference between medical therapy alone versus medical therapy along with CABG in terms of primary end point of death from any cause.[1]
