Cushing's syndrome CT

Overview

CT scan of the adrenal gland is performed to detect the presence of the adrenal adenoma and the cause of ectopic ACTH. CT scan is preferred over MRI in these cases.

Cushing’s syndrome CT

CT scan of the adrenal gland is performed to detect the presence of the adrenal adenoma and the cause of ectopic ACTH. CT scan is preferred over MRI in these cases.^[1]^[2]^[3]

It is usually done after:

Establishing hypercortisolism
Measuring ACTH levels.
