Overview

Surgical intervention is not recommended for the management of diffuse large B cell lymphoma. The primary role of the surgery in DLBCL is the diagnosis of the lymphoma.

Surgery

Surgical intervention is not recommended for the management of diffuse large B cell lymphoma due to the efficacy of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hematopoietic Stem cell transplantation.
The primary role of surgery in DLBCL is diagnostic in the form of lymph node or tissue biopsy.^[1]
Surgery can be considered in treatment of primary splenic, hepatic or gastric Lymphomas.
