Overview

Ultrasound is used in pediatric patients and in cirrhosis with portal hypertension. It is fast and can be done without sedating.

  • It is of high diagnostic importance in pediatric encephalopathies
  • Evaluation of cirrhosis associated with portal hypertension which is one of the cause of encephalopathy
  • It is fast and does not need sedation
