FCE 28260 is an inhibitor of 5 alpha-reductase. The compound caused inhibition of rat and human prostatic enzymes, with IC50 values of 15 and 16 nM, respectively, compared to the values of 30 and 52 nM shown by finasteride.(Giudici D,et al, J Steroid Biochem Mol Biol. 1996 Jun;58(3):299-305.)
