Overview

There are no established measures for the primary prevention of fever of unknown origin however some precautions can decrease the chances of contracting infections that cause FUO These are:

Avoidance of contact with infected people
Avoidance of unnecessary travel to places where some disease are infectious
Proper vaccinations
Avoidance of animal contact
Avoidance of recreational and unnecessary drugs etc.^[1]
