Overview

Currently, new forms of treatment (such as the combination therapy of interferon-α with lamivudine for patients who failed interferon-α monotherapy) are under investigation.^[1] Future studies and monitoring are required to evaluate the genotypic resistance of HBV to nucleoside and nucleotide therapy.^[2]
