Intraventricular conduction delay history and symptoms

Overview

Intraventricular conduction delays (IVCD) are abnormal ECG pattern, which may or may not be associated with symptoms. Complete history to find out underlying cardiac condition would be the best approach in asymptomatic patients.

History and Symptoms

The following history should be elicited while evaluating a case of intraventricular conduction delay :

Patients with isolated BBB without underlying heart diseases are usually asymptomatic. Such people do not require further diagnostic evaluation. In patients with underlying heart disease symptoms are usually due to the heart disease rather than IVCD’s itself. Such symptoms include:
