Overview

A bulge of the silhouette of the left ventricle on chest x-ray is the characteristic finding in LV aneurysm.

Chest X Ray

  • The presence of a discrete bulge in the heart silhouette is suggestive of a true aneurysm.[1]
  • Marked calcification may be present on bulge.
