Overview
Positron emission tomography (PET) scan is useful in cases where the liposarcoma is firm, deep, and has a size greater than 3 cm. PET scan may also help evaluate the grade and prognosis of the tumor, as well as its shrinkage following chemotherapy.

Positron emission tomography (PET)
- Positron emission tomography (PET) is useful to evaluate cases of liposarcoma, especially when the tumor is firm, deep, and has a size greater than 3 cm.[1]
- PET scan is also useful to evaluate:
- Tumor grade
- Prognosis
- Tumor shrinkage following chemotherapy
Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS)
- It can provide information by identifying different and specific enhancement patterns.[2]
