Overview
The common causes of macroglossia include acromegaly, amyloidosis, beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, congenital hypothyroidism and down syndrome.

Life Threatening Causes
Life-threatening causes include conditions which may result in death or permanent disability within 24 hours if left untreated.
