Microangiopathic hemolytic anemia surgery

- Surgery is not the first-line treatment option for patients with microangiopathic hemolytic anemia. Splenectomy is usually reserved for patients with recurrent thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura[1]. It has shown to reduce relapse rate in these patients.
