Mucinous cystadenocarcinoma CT

Findings on CT suggestive of mucinous cystadenocarcinoma include rounded or ovoid tumor, internal septations, and calcification.

• CT may demonstrate high attenuation in some loculi due to the high protein content of the mucoid material^[1]

• The tumor contour tends to be rounded or ovoid although this is not an absolutely specific feature
• Associated calcification when present tends to be more peripheral
• Contents of the lesion may be heterogeneous is attenuation
• Internal septations may be present and tend to be linear or curvilinear
