Ultrasound can be useful for assessing hepatomegaly, or liver enlargement, which can sometimes be seen in hemolytic diseases causing jaundice.

Ultrasound can be useful for assessing hepatomegaly, or liver enlargement, which can sometimes be seen in hemolytic diseases causing jaundice. Ultrasound is the most cost effective imaging test of the spleen.[1]
