No-reflow phenomenon myocardial contrast echocardiography

Overview

This is the gold standard technique for investigating no-reflow phenomenon. This involves the use of intravascular contrast agents that contain tracers. This modality can be used to assess microvascular perfusion. It has the advantage of defining the extent of myocardium affected and also producing a good prognostic value which correllates with the TMPG.^[1]
