Other diagnostic studies for optic nerve glioma include visual field tests, biopsy, and cerebral angiography.

Partial or total loss of vision or changes in the optic nerves are typically shown by a neurological exam. The other tests used to help diagnose optic nerve glioma in addition to physical examination are:

• Cerebral angiography
• Biopsy
  • Tissue removed from the tumor during surgery or CT scan-guided biopsy is examined to confirm the exact type of tumor
