Overview
Ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament is a degenerative disease. It Usually affects the cervical spine and the thoracic spine. It May lead to severe spinal stenosis and sometimes severe spinal cord and/or nerve root compression. It is Common in Japanese population. It is frequently associated with diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis.
