Surgery is not the first-line treatment option for patients with paracoccidioidomycosis. Different surgical procedures are usually reserved for patients with PMC sequelae.

- Different surgical procedures are usually reserved for patients with PMC sequelae, such as:
- Neuroparacoccidioidomycosis: If a granulomatous mass is found, exeresis may be needed. [1]
- Fibrosis: Surgery may be needed to alleviate symptoms.
