Overview
CT offers superior information regarding calcification of cardiac structures and has some advantages in evaluating coronary artery anatomy when epicardial coronary atherosclerotic disease is suspected.

- Cardiac computer tomography is helpful in situations where a MRI is contraindicated or unavailable.
- It may help in the diagnosis of congenital heart disease and highlights calcifications and coronary artery anatomy.
