Overview

Posterior fossa surgery is surgery involving the back the head which contains the cerebellum, an organ responsible for co-ordination, a number of important nerves (the lower cranial nerves), and also the junction between the brain and the spine.

Causes

Chiari malformations at the junction of the brain and spine.
