Small cell carcinoma of the lung MRI

Overview

There are no MRI findings associated with small cell carcinoma. However, an MRI may be helpful in the diagnosis of the complications of small cell carcinoma, which include brain metastasis. Brain imaging is mandatory for staging purposes in all patients with small cell lung cancer.
