  • Increased detoxification of urothelial carcinogens is thought to be the mechanism underlying the protective action of these supplements.
  • A high consumption of cruciferous vegetables has been shown to be associated with a significantly reduced risk of bladder cancer compared to a low intake, especially in nonsmokers.
  • The greater effect was linked to the intake of green and yellow vegetables.
  • Drinking plenty of liquids
