Tuberculous pericarditis x ray

Overview

An x-ray may be helpful in the diagnosis of tuberculous pericarditis. Findings on an x-ray suggestive of tuberculous pericarditis include pericardial calcification, pericardial thickening, pericardial effusion, and evidence of pulmonary TB.

An x-ray may be helpful in the diagnosis of tuberculous pericarditis. Findings on an x-ray suggestive of tuberculous pericarditis include:[1][2]

  • Pericardial calcification
  • Pericardial thickening
  • Pericardial effusion
  • Evidence of pulmonary TB
  • Enlarged cardiac silhouette
