Von Willebrand disease physical examination

Patients with vWD commonly have negative physical examination findings however physical examination findings may include ecchymoses, hematomas with varying sizes and location and evidence of current or recent mucosal bleeding.

Physical examination of patients with von Willebrand disease is usually normal, but patients with vWD may have the following physical examination findings:^{[1][2] [3]}

• Ecchymoses
• Hematomas of varying sizes and location
• Evidence of current or recent mucosal bleeding
