Zona fasciculata

Cells of the zona fasciculata, the middle zone of the adrenal cortex, sits directly beneath the zona glomerulosa and are organized in bundles (or fascicles).
The zona chiefly produces glucocorticoids (eg, cortisol) and a small amount of weak androgens (eg, dehydroepiandrosterone).
