Acinic cell carcinoma history and symptoms

Acinic cell carcinoma is a slow growing tumor without any specific symptom and clinical manifestations start by the the time tumor itself is enlarged and obvious. It can be developed unilaterally or bilaterally mostly in parotid salivary gland.

• If left untreated, acinic cell carcinoma can be an aggressive tumor and far metastasis are seen.
• If left untreated local pressure increase on facial nerve and other neighboring structures, which may cause:
  • Dysphagia
  • Dysphoria
  • Hoarseness
  • Drooling
