CT scan of the brain may be helpful in the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Findings include enlargement of cerebral sulci, loss of gyral volume and mild dilation of the ventricular system.

- Enlargement of cerebral sulci
- Loss of gyral volume
- Enlargement of the third and lateral ventricles
- Cerebral atrophy
