- PET scan can help diagnose anaplastic large cell lymphoma. An initial staging 18Fâfluorodeoxyglucoseâpositron emission/computerized tomography (FDGâPET/CT) scan is usually performed and demonstrates the following in the affected lymph node and or tissue:[1]
