Atony

In medicine, atony (or “atonia”, or “atonic”) refers to a muscle that has lost its strength. It is frequently associated with the conditions Atonic seizure, Atonic colon, Uterine atony, Gastrointestinal atony (occurs postoperatively) and choreatic atonia.
