Biliary dyskinesia should be differentiated from other disorders that caused right upper quadrant (RUQ) pain, such as abdominal disorders with pain similar to biliary pain, peptic ulcer disease (PUD), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), coronary artery disease, costochondritis, and musculoskeletal disorder.

Biliary dyskinesia should be differentiated from other disorders that caused right upper quadrant (RUQ) pain, such as:[1]
- Abdominal disorders with pain similar to biliary pain
- Peptic ulcer disease (PUD)
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Chronic constipation
- Cirrhosis
- Coronary artery disease
- Costochondritis
- Musculoskeletal disorder
