Blind loop syndrome laboratory findings

Blind loop syndrome is a medical condition that occurs when the intestine is obstructed, slowing or stopping the progress of digested food, and thus facilitating the growth of bacteria to the point that problems in nutrient absorption occur.

There are no diagnostic laboratory tests associated with blind loop syndrome.

Blood tests to check nutritional status may be necessary to help diagnose blind loop syndrome.

Patients can have deficiency of fat soluble vitamins and vitamin B12.
