The majority of patients with blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome present with symptoms typically at birth like blisters on the skin, bleeding and anemia.

Common Symptoms
Common symptoms of blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome include:[1][2][3][4]
- Skin spots which are called nevi found hundreds in number
- Blisters on the skin
- Rubbery feel of nevi due to wrinkled surface
- Severe bleeding from GI tract
- Anemia due to bleeding
- Melena
- Blebs in the eye may cause vision related symptoms
- Blebs in the central nervous system may result in neurological manifestations
Less Common Symptoms
Less common symptoms of blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome include:[5]
- Vascular malformations when occur in the joint spaces may result in the following:
- Joint pain due to damage to the cartilage
- Swelling of the involved joints
- Restriction of the joint movement
