Overview
The Bucherer-Bergs reaction is the chemical reaction of carbonyl compounds (or cyanohydrins) with ammonium carbonate and potassium cyanide to give hydantoins.[1][2][3][4] The reaction is named after Hans Theodor Bucherer.
