CPR mask

A CPR-mask, with carrying case

A CPR mask is a device used to deliver rescue breaths during a cardiac arrest or respiratory arrest safely. The mask has a built in disposable one-way filter valve which lets the air from the rescuer deliver to the patient while any substances from the patient (eg. vomit, blood) cannot reach the rescuer. After each use of the mask, the filter is replaced.

The CPR mask is the preferred method of ventilating a patient when only one rescuer is available. Many feature 18mm inlets to support supplemental oxygen. With out supplemental oxygen, only 18% of oxygen is in the air being delivered.
