Cabrera’s sign is defined as notching (≥40 millisecond in duration) at the ascending limb of the S wave in leads V3, V4, or V5. It is used in the assessment of previous myocardial infarction (MI) in the presence of left bundle branch block (LBBB) or paced rhythm. In one study of evaluating myocardial infarction (MI) in patients with complete LBBB, Cabrera’s sign has a sensitivity of 27% for MI and 47% for anteroseptal MI.[1]
