Overview
An MRI scan is more sensitive in identifying intra cranial lesions than a CT scan. It can be used in cases with a high index of suspicion and a negative report on a CT scan.

- It is a more sensitive test than a CT scan.
- It is better in identifying lesions of stroke, white matter, and the posterior fossa.
- It can’t be used as a first line of investigation.
- It is more expensive than a CT scan.
