Overview

Overview

Fetal MRI is a useful diagnostic tool that is commonly used in the second and third trimester. Its ability to measure total lung volume and assess herniated liver mass has particularly proven to be helpful. Lungs appear hyperintense whereas the heart, liver, and mediastinum appear hypointense.
