Angiogenesis inhibitors
- Newer substances which block the formation of new blood vessels feeding the tumors are under investigation and may be able to prevent the tumor growth in future
Chemotherapy agents
- Several chemotherapy drugs, or combination of drugs are being tested by researchers, that could prove to be most effective in treating desmoid tumors to avoid radical management via surgery
Mutations in the gene for beta-catenin
