Overview

Overview

EUS-NA or esophageal endoscopic ultrasound with needle aspiration is a procedure done to stage the mediastinum in lung cancer cases. This procedure has been performed with negligible risk of infection or bleeding. EUS-NA is more useful for the inferior pulmonary ligament, esophageal, subcarinal, and APW nodes.[1] New research has also suggested that EUS-NA combined with EBUS-NA can provide complementary and nearly full access to all mediastinal lymph node stations.[1]
