Farmer's lung physical examination

Patients with Farmer’s Lung disease presents usually with cough and dyspnea after exposure to the offending agent.

Physician should be highly suspicious of Farmer’s lung in people working in farms presenting with such symptoms.

Physical examination of patients with Farmer’s lung disease can be nonspecific.

They can have crepitations in both lung fields.

• Patients with Farmer’s lung disease usually appear tired.

• High-grade / low-grade fever
• Hyperthermia may be present
• Tachycardia
• Tachypnea^[1]

• Skin examination of patients with Farmer’s lung disease is usually normal
• Sometimes, patients can present with cyanosis.
